About Chef Soli

Well Hello there, Thanks for stopping by... I am Chef Soli. Just a simple yet spicy beach girl who loves to embrace her Caribbean and Southern roots. I love connecting with people through food. Providing an amazing meal that triggers the happiest of memories in people is such a fulfilling feeling. I love to bring people together. Seeing their faces light up when I bring out a dish and the smile on their faces when eating it, brings my purpose to a full circle. My passion for food started at a very young age. Just at the age of three, my mother had me in the kitchen with her mixing dough for her infamous biscuits, which to this day is still a magical experience for me. At the age of eleven, I knew I wanted to be a chef. When other kids were watching shows like That's So Raven, I was glued to the Food Network Channel and hooked on everything I was seeing. I was a young lady obsessed. I started experimenting and creating small recipes and began my journey to gain as much knowledge as I could. From that moment I worked very hard to have as many opportunities as I could to expand my culinary experience and skill. Later on, after graduating high school, I attended the Culinary Institute of Virginia where I learned how to master the natural skills I had obtained throughout my early years. Saying I'm in love with cooking is an understatement. Growing up in Virginia Beach, I was surrounded by different cuisines as well as the diversity I was served at home. From the ages of 5-9, I was raised in my mother's stomping grounds in Puerto Rico where I learned from my extended family new flavors and techniques of cooking that I continue to practice to this day. Tradition with a creative and innovative spin is where my artistic passion truly comes through. Balancing flavors, textures, and presentation is something that I believe I've mastered throughout my culinary journey. Taking tastebuds on an adventure to create everlasting memories. I am a fun, creative, and easygoing person. I have harnessed time management and organization while executing experiences for my guests. When I cook for my guests, they come to the table with an empty belly and leave with a full heart. Once you dine with me, you become a part of my family. I cook with love, passion, and devotion.
