Chef Lori
With over 30 years in the culinary industry, I’ve done it all—restaurant ownership, film set catering, international travel as a chef, and private chef to A-list celebrities like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Sofia Vergara, and Joe Manganiello. It’s been a whirlwind tour, and I like to think my clients benefit from every mile of my experience.
When you invite a private chef into your home, you’re looking for more than just great food—you’re looking for someone you can trust, connect with, and genuinely enjoy having around. For nearly two decades, families, couples, vacationers, and food lovers have welcomed me back again and again, because I make meals unforgettable.
Recently, I prepared a 70th birthday dinner for someone who first hired me to cater his daughter’s wedding in 2017. His one request? The shrimp & grits I served at the beach house wedding eight years ago. “It’s become a legend in our family,” the bride told me. “We've talked about it for eight years—we finally get to have it again!”
For another client, I’ve become part of the family tradition. Every summer for the past 16 years, I’ve joined them on Bald Head Island to prepare nightly dinners—each one a different flavor experience. This year’s menus include Hawaiian, Mediterranean, Southern, Indian, and of course, their must-have Low Country Boil. That kind of loyalty doesn’t happen by accident—it’s the result of consistent excellence, joyful creativity, and the personal touches I bring to every table.
My goal is always to create something more than a meal. Whether I’m cooking for four or forty, I bring warmth, humor, professionalism, and heart into every kitchen. My love for travel and global cuisine inspires bold, beautiful dishes full of flavor, story and soul. No dietary restriction is too complicated—managing my own medical needs has taught me how to make inclusive food that’s flavorful, vibrant, and never second-best.
I tune into what each moment calls for—whether it’s elegance, excitement, or a calm, nourishing evening. So whether you’re planning a milestone celebration, a vacation dinner, or a relaxed gathering with friends, I bring a rare blend of professionalism, presence, and personality that turns any meal into a memory.
