About
Chef Cody
Cody is a classically trained chef whose career spans acclaimed restaurants, luxury hotels, and commercial fishing across North America. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, he focuses on exceptional ingredients, refined technique, and memorable dining experiences. He has worked at Bésame in Steamboat Springs, a James Beard Award–nominated restaurant, and completed a stage with the Alinea Group in Chicago, where he trained in highly technical, progressive cuisine. He later worked as a commercial fisherman in Alaska and the Florida Keys, harvesting species like king salmon, halibut, king crab, grouper, and red snapper, deepening his commitment to sustainability and seasonality. Rooted in classical French technique, Cody draws inspiration from Latin cuisine and global influences. As a private chef, he creates personalized, story-driven dining experiences tailored to each guest. Outside the kitchen, he plays five-string banjo, collects vinyl records, and explores local farms and markets for inspiration.
